The most untraditional traditional-looking irons you’ll ever play.

The next generation of tools to take apart any course. Big Bertha Fusion Irons incorporate superior weight-shifting Fusion Technology and three distinct materials. The unique head shape provides a clean, refined look and unprecedented performance, yet provides the playability and confidence at address once reserved for oversize irons. It's another patented breakthrough, deeply rooted in our relentless endeavor to create the most scientifically advanced equipment for your game.

Fusion Technology in irons.

At their heart is the patented Tunite alloy cradle. Created by Callaway Golf engineers, this ultra-dense material allows the repositioning of an unheard-of 77 percent of the clubhead's mass to its perimeter, giving you exceptional stability. With no twisting or turning, balls fly straighter off the club.

The lightweight titanium face is 35 percent lighter than a comparable steel face, allowing more mass to be moved to the club perimeter for forgiveness and increased effective hitting area.

The TPU SenSert is an exclusive, chemically engineered material that reduces vibration at impact and produces a crisp, responsive sound and unmatched feel.

"I've owned my Fusion irons since new for two years and just fell in love with them all over again! They always had superior feel, but I was having a little problem hooking with them--especially the short irons. With a iron swing speed around 90-92mph (even at age 47) I decided to reshaft from Nippon Uniflex to Nippon 1050 stiffs--AWESOME combo!! Slightly heavier and definately straighter with that sweet buttery feel--I should have done it sooner...

I played the Lake Course at the Olympic Club in SF yesterday and went low for me despite driving in the trees a few too many times. Had two birdies and several more opportunities due to excellent iron approach shots. One memorable shot was a gorgeous nine iron on number 8 to about eight feet--tweet tweet! Hit a tremendous six iron on number 14 but missed the six foot birdie putt... I'd have shot mid 70's on most other courses--the OC is very tough!

If you have the right fitting and correct shaft these sticks are fantastic. For a average to sightly quicker swing speed the Nippon Uniflex is solid. Unless your index is south of say a 4 or 5, forget forged blades and go for these. Similar head shape, 5-10 yards longer, and waaay more forgiving. Great club for anyone from scratch to a fifteen or so. Smaller heads, so you need a decent swing to fully enjoy IMHO!

Earlier this year I went so far as to purchase Callaway X20 Tour irons to replace the Fusions (before changing-out the shafts). Loved the Tour's Project X 6.0 shafts but the heads on the X20 Tours just didn't have the feel I like--very good sticks for a 10-20 hcp but a little too dull. Got rid of them and traded for some new Ping I5's which I also like alot.

So the Fusions are back in the bag and the I5's, while also excellent, are now my back-ups. I hear that the brand-new FT's are also outstanding--just very expensive.

If you have the money get the new ones after a complete fitting. If not, the used Fusions are a club to love at less than half the price from a reputable source! Great value used!"
