Description
The Callaway X-22 irons feature a 10-percent higher MOI than its predecessors through maximizing perimeter weighting. Its center of gravity has been preserved to generate optimal ball flight and its precision notch weighting positions more weight to the perimeter to create more stability and forgiveness, all while maintaining a tour-inspired head shape with a thinner top line and narrower sole. The result is an iron that is incredibly forgiving, while still incorporating the look and feel that better players prefer.

Precision Notch Weighting
Positions more weight to the perimeter, raising the MOI for greater forgiveness and stability while maintaining the CG position that produces ideal trajectories with better feel.

Tour-Inspired Head Shape
Design elements designed for Tour players like a thinner top line and narrower sole have been incorporated into these highly forgiving irons that can be played by a wide range of golfers.

Modified Tru-Bore ®
An advanced version of the original Tru-Bore design, the polycarbonate tip plug at the end of the shaft dampens vibration for enhanced feel and performance.

Callaway Golf Core Technologies
VFT ® Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness; S2H2 ® increases discretionary weight by removing it from the hosel and repositioning it in the perimeter of the clubhead; 360-Degree Undercut Channel maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the CG lower and farther back in the clubhead, enlarging the hitting area and stabilizing the clubhead for more forgiveness.

Callaway Golf X-22 Iron Set 4-PW Graphite user reviews

"Callaway hit this one right in the middle of the fairway, I am upgrading from the X-12's. I am really looking forward to getting on the course. You will be sold on the first swing"

""The X-22 are a real improvement over the X-16, X-18, and X-20 irons (I didn't care for the X-20's very much though). The X-22 head has a huge sweet spot, and is very forgiving on mishits. The stock uniflex shaft feels very good. Overall a mid-high to high launch, and very easy to hit. These irons will probably wind up being close to the best, if not the best, game improvement iron of 2009 year." "

"The Callaway "Van" was at my club last weekend and I demoed the X22 irons. I ended up buying the set with uniflex shafts in 4-PW. I have played Ping irons for years, and finally Callaway made some irons that made me switch. The look at address has improved (as mentioned here) and the feel is exceptional for a cavity back iron.     "I don't aggree with the heel toe shots going as far, because the hitting zone is much smaller than other simalar clubs, not that that is a bad thing. I am getting older and slowing down, that is why I choose the graphite, I previously owned R7 TP's which had a much too low ball fliht for me, although they were accurate, the game was just not the same. I really enjoy these new irons, and having never hit Callaways' before, I really have no experience with them until now."
