To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons, Callaway Golf engineers added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer. Precision Notch Weighting and a new sleeker hosel combine to raise the MOI for better stability and allow the CG to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face.

To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons, Callaway Golf engineers added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer. Precision Notch Weighting and a new sleeker hosel combine to raise the MOI for better stability and allow the CG to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face. This generates ideal trajectories and significantly enhances the level of feel. The head shape has been refined with the thinnest possible topline while still using a 360-Degree Undercut Channel, and the optimized sole width progression provides better turf interaction.

Precisely positions more weight to the perimeter of the iron to create a higher MOI for greater forgiveness and stability while maintaining the CG position that produces ideal trajectories and feel.

Features the thinnest topline possible while still incorporating a 360-Degree Undercut Channel. The blade length is shorter and the CG has been moved lower and in line with the center of the face to provide unparalleled performance with enhanced feel.

The sole width of each iron has been optimized based on the length and loft to provide better turf interaction through the entire set. The sleeker design significantly improves feel and allows the hosel to be more easily adjusted to fit a golfer’s custom specifications.

VFT® Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness; 360-Degree Undercut Channel maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the CG lower and farther back in the clubhead, enlarging the hitting area and stabilizing the clubhead for more forgiveness.

    ""This is a great set of golf clubs. I have been playing Wilson Staff Fat Shaft irons for 8 years and I was ready to upgrade. First off let me say I have never liked Callaway irons. They have always looked to "chunky" for me to look at. The X Tour irons, while still on the "chunky" side, have a overall great look that is easier to look at, and after hitting them you forget about the thicker top line. After my first round with these I could feel my accuracy was better and the feel was great. I found these irons to be pretty forgiving, which is what Callaway is really known for. I tried other irons before making this purchse including Ping, Mizuno, Taylor Made, and Cleveland. Hands down the Callaway X Tours were great. Stop looking and make the purchase!" "

    "When we picked up the Callaway X-Tour you could see immediately from the back that it was a Callaway, with the notch design and undercut cavity. However when you put it down at address it looked like any other premium iron with a compact head, thin top line and no cavity in view. Amazing (for a Callaway). It had a very classic offset and lie and the feel from the forged head was very solid, if a little heavy due to the cavity system that keeps the weight low and behind the face. We tested it with a True Temper Dynamic Gold stiff steel shaft and the club felt heavier than competitiors. Overall we think low handicappers should go for this over the X-18 Pro Series and if the price is right, then it could open up a new market for Callaway.

    "I hit a 4-iron,Project-X,5.0 shaft in store, good results,distance good,made a "spatty" sound at impact,a little skeptical on that. Come back a week later, hit short and long irons again, had better feel, realized a 85-95 mph swing was needed to make these babies come alive, purchased,hit the driving range and was amazed at the control of these,after about 100 balls,before I even hit, I knew it would be a good shot, thinner top line for me was just great,they give you confidence. Sound at impact, very close"
